Hi John (and Shane), My name is Jill Cockram. I am a coordinator of the Permaculture Southern Highlands Local Seed Network and also the local permaculture association. I think we met briefly at the Seedsavers Conference in 2004 in Bowral. As Shane says, we have been holding fruit tree grafting days for the past few years and will probably do another one at the local Certified Organic Community Farm near Moss Vale. We generally hold them in July and need to have an idea of numbers so we can access/buy rootstocks months in advance. If you think you and your group might be interested to come along to our grafting workshop (and see a young community supported agriculture farm in the making), let me know by return email: jilleroo53@hotmail.com Kind regards Jill PS Thanks Shane for passing on the message. ________________________________ > Date: Wed, 16 Jan 2008 11:21:58 +1100 > From: woss4@yahoo.com.au > Subject: Re: [Localseed-discuss] graft > To: localseed-discuss@mailman.communityfoods.com.au > > **************************************** > hi john. > > i seen the email from robin williamson, i also attend the sth, highlands seed saver's / permaculture grafting day. > > it's run by jill cockram, debbie, and david , held every year somewhere between mittagong, bowral, mossvale, canyonleigh, around mid winter to late winter. > > you need to get in early to buy bulk grafting material, enough for you to run a class in the blue mountains. > > if you just want to attend a workshop with them contact soon (before mid winter) will be good enough. > > look on the seed savers contact list for thair details, or contact mee direct at woss4@yahoo.com.au > > and i'll pass on the details. > good luck shane. > > > **************************************** > > john mcnaull wrote: > We at mid-blue-mountains seedsavers are looking for someone to teach us how to graft fruit trees. Does anyone know of anybody in the (western) Sydney area who might be able to do a workshop for us. We would of course make it worth their while. > many thanks > and bountiful wishes to all gardeners and seedsavers > john mcnaull > lawson 2783 > nsw > _______________________________________________ > Localseed-discuss mailing list > Localseed-discuss@mailman.communityfoods.com.au > http://www.mailman.communityfoods.com.au/mailman/listinfo/localseed-discuss > > > > Wollondilly Organic Seed Savers > Local Seed Cordinator: Shane Forsythe > woss4@yahoo.com.au > 0421 456 223 9am- 5pm or post include SSAE > Shane Forsythe > 15 Harley Street > Yanderra NSW 2574 > > ________________________________ > Make the switch to the world's best email.
